নবী মুহাম্মদ একবার ফজরের নামাজে অনেক দেরী করে আসলেন। সাহাবীরা অপেক্ষা করছিল তার জন্য, অথচ নবীর কোন খবর নাই। অনেকক্ষণ পরে নবীর আগমন হল, এসে মুহাম্মদ এক গপ্প ফাঁদলো। সেই রাতে নাকি আল্লাহ তার সাথে এসে তার বুকে ঘষাঘষি করে গেছে। আসুন এই হাদিসটি পড়ি, সাথে এর ইংরেজি অনুবাদও পড়ি,

পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৭. তৃতীয় অনুচ্ছেদ – মাসজিদ ও সালাতের স্থান
৭৪৮-[৬০] মু’আয ইবনু জাবাল (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, একদিন রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম (নিত্য দিনের অভ্যাসের বিপরীত) ফজরের (ফজরের) সালাতে আসতে এতটা দেরী করলেন যে, সূর্য প্রায় উঠে উঠে। এর মধ্যে তাড়াহুড়া করে তিনি আসলেন। সাথে সাথে সালাতের ইক্বামাত(ইকামত/একামত) দেয়া হলো। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম সংক্ষিপ্ত করে সালাত (সালাত/নামায/নামাজ) আদায় করলেন। সালাম দেবার পর তিনি (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) উচ্চকণ্ঠে আমাদের উদ্দেশ্য করে বললেন, তোমরা সালাতের কাতারে যে যেভাবে আছো সেভাবে থাকো। এরপর তিনি (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) আমাদের দিকে ফিরলেন ও বললেন, শুন! আজ ভোরে তোমাদের কাছে আসতে যে কারণ আমার কাছে বাধা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছিল তা হলো, আমি রাতে ঘুম থেকে উঠলাম। উযূ (ওযু/ওজু/অজু) করলাম। পরে আমার পক্ষে যা সম্ভব হলো সালাত আদায় করলাম। সালাতে আমার তন্দ্রা ধরল, ঘুমে অসাড় হয়ে পড়লাম। এ সময় দেখি, আমি আমার ’প্রতিপালক’ তাবারাকা ওয়া তা’আলার কাছে উপস্থিত। তিনি খুবই উত্তম অবস্থায় আছেন। তিনি আমাকে ডাকলেন, হে মুহাম্মাদ! আমি উত্তর দিলাম, হে আমার ’রব’, আমি উপস্থিত। তিনি বললেন, ’’মালা-উল আ’লা-’’ অর্থাৎ- শীর্ষস্থানীয় মালায়িকাহ্ কী নিয়ে বিতর্ক করছে? আমি উত্তরে বললাম, আমি তো কিছু জানি না, হে আমার ’রব’! এভাবে তিনি আমাকে তিনবার জিজ্ঞেস করলেন।
তারপর দেখি, তিনি আমার দু’ কাঁধের মাঝখানে তাঁর হাত রেখে দিয়েছেন। এতে আমি আমার সিনায় তাঁর আঙ্গুলের শীতলতা অনুভব করতে লাগলাম। আমার নিকট তখন সব জিনিস প্রকাশ হয়ে পড়ল। আমি সকল ব্যাপার বুঝে গেলাম। তারপর তিনি আবার আমাকে ডাকলেন, হে মুহাম্মাদ! আমি বললাম, আমি উপস্থিত হে পরওয়ারদিগার। এখন বলো দেখি ’’মালা-উল আ’লা-’’ কী নিয়ে তর্ক-বিতর্ক করছে। আমি বললাম, গুনাহ মিটিয়ে দেবার ব্যাপারসমূহ নিয়ে। আল্লাহ তা’আলা বললেন, সে সব জিনিস কী? আমি বললাম, সালাতের জন্য মসজিদে যাওয়া, সালাতের পরে দু’আ ইত্যাদির জন্য মসজিদে বসা এবং শীতের বা অন্য কারণে উযূ করা কষ্টকর হলেও তা উপেক্ষা করে উযূ করা। আবার আল্লাহ তা’আলা জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, আর কী ব্যাপারে তারা বিতর্ক করছে? আমি বললাম, দারাজাত অর্থাৎ- মর্যাদার ব্যাপারে। তিনি বললেন, সে সব কী? আমি বললাম, গরীব-মিসকীনদের খাবার দেয়া, ভদ্রভাবে কথা বলা, রাতে মানুষ যখন ঘুমায় সে সময় উঠে (তাহাজ্জুদের) সালাত আদায় করা।
তারপর আবার আল্লাহ তা’আলা বললেন, আচ্ছা ঠিক আছে। এখন তোমার যা চাওয়ার তা নিবেদন কর। তাই আমি দু’আ করলামঃ ’’হে আল্লাহ! আমি তোমার কাছে নেক কাজ করার, খারাপ কাজ থেকে বিরত থাকার, মিসকীনের বন্ধুত্ব, তোমার ক্ষমা ও রহমত চাই। আর যখন তুমি কোন জাতির মধ্যে গুমরাহী ছড়াতে চাও, তার আগে আমাকে গুমরাহী ছাড়া উঠিয়ে নিও। আমি তোমার কাছে তোমার ভালোবাসা আর ঐ ব্যক্তির ভালোবাসা চাই, যে তোমাকে ভালোবাসে, আর আমি এমন ’আমলকে ভালোবাসতে চাই যে ’আমল আমাকে তোমার ভালোবাসার নিকটবর্তী করবে’’। তারপর নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, এ স্বপ্ন ষোলআনা সত্য। তাই তোমরা এ কথা স্মরণ রাখবে, আর লোকেদেরকে শিখাবে। (আহমাদ ও তিরমিযী;[1]
ইমাম তিরমিযী আরো বলেন, হাদীসটি হাসান সহীহ। আমি এ হাদীসটি সম্পর্কে মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু ইসমা’ঈল বুখারী জিজ্ঞেস করেছি; তিনিও বলেছেন এ হাদীসটি সহীহ।)

Mu’adh b. Jabal said:
God’s Messenger was detained one morning from observing the prayer with us till the sun had almost appeared over the horizon. He then came cut quickly, and when the iqama had been uttered he conducted the prayer in a shortened form; then when he had given the salutation he called out to us saying, “Keep to your rows as you were.” Then turning to us he said, “I shall tell you what detained me from you this morning. I got up during the night, performed ablution, and prayed what I could; but during my prayer I dozed and was overcome, and there and then I saw my Lord in the most beautiful form. He addressed me by name, and when I replied, ‘At Thy service, my Lord,’ He asked, ‘What do the angels near My presence dispute about?’ and I replied that I did not know. He asked it three times. Then I saw Him put the palm of His hand between my shoulder-blades, so that I experienced the coolness of His fingers between my nipples so everything became clear to me and I attained knowledge. He then addressed me by name, and when I replied, ‘At Thy service, my Lord,’ He asked, ‘What do the angels near My presence dispute about?’ I replied, ‘Expiation.’ He asked what they were, and I replied, ‘Walking on foot to the congregational prayers, sitting in the mosques after the prayers are over, and performing complete ablution in difficult circumstances. He asked what next they disputed about, and when I said it was about degrees, He asked what they were and I replied, ‘Providing food, speaking gently, and praying at night when people are asleep.’ He then told me to make a request, and I said, ‘O God, I ask Thee for power to do good things and abandon objectionable things, for love towards the poor, that Thou shouldest forgive me and show mercy to me, and that when Thou intendest to test any people Thou wilt take me to Thyself without being led astray. And I ask for Thy love, the love of those who love Thee, and a love of doing things which will bring me near to Thy love.’” Then God’s Messenger said, “It is true, so study it and learn it.”
Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said, “This is a hasan sahih tradition. I asked Muhammad b. Isma’il (Al-Bukhari) about this tradition, and he said it is a sahih tradition.”
